Prof. Dr. Gürkan Yetkin

Born in Istanbul in 1961, Prof. Dr. Gürkan Yetkin completed his secondary education at Galatasaray High School. He graduated from Istanbul Medical Faculty in 1986 and became a General Surgery Specialist in 1991.

In 2011, Prof. Dr. Gürkan Yetkin became an Associate Professor of General Surgery, and in 2012, he became a Training Instructor. In 2014, he qualified for the Subspecialty Certificate in Oncological Surgery awarded by the Ministry of Health.

Carrying out work in Breast Surgery, Endocrine (Thyroid and Goiter) Surgery, Oncological Surgery (Cancer Surgery), and Laparoscopic Surgery, Prof. Dr. Gürkan Yetkin continued to serve as a Lecturer in General Surgery at Şişli Etfal Training and Research Hospital under the University of Health Sciences until the end of 2021. As of 2022, he has been seeing patients at his own clinic in Istanbul Fulya and performing surgeries in various hospitals.
